Make use of "My Watched Posts" tool to follow forum threads

Dear Passive Buildings California group,

I'm happy to announce that you can now be automatically notified on changes to forum threads or pages with a new website tool. Just click "You are not watching this post, click to start watching" from the bottom of any page or forum thread.

This is available whether or not you have a website account. However, if you DO have an account, you can also view a summary of your watched posts from your account area.

and replaced with "Subscriptions". Go to "My account" area in the left nav, then Subscriptions tab, and select the forum categories you'd like to be kept updated on.

You can also subscribe to just specific pages or forum threads from the actual page.
